  ST⭐R OF THE WEEK: Dat is it sah!  @skeng.don  is once again the SOTW. On Monday, March 21, 2022, the heavy-hitting deejay dropped his song, "Talibhan" featuring local songstress,  @stalkashley  on Youtube, and in less than a week, it has accumulated just over a million views on the platform. It has also been receiving rave reviews from the dancehall space. Over this weekend the artiste is giving fans nationwide a chance to see him perform live as he appears at all three  @taboojamaica876  locations; Friday, March 25 at Taboo Kingston, Saturday, March 26, at Taboo Ocho Rios, and tonight, at Taboo Montego Bay. His future bookings include a string of Easter weekend performances alongside  @govanagenna  in the United Kingdom.   Keeping an eye open on the people that put the Dance in Dancehall! Check out our first edition of DANCEPORT with the creator of the viral dance move, 'Stir Fry':  @treyravers  ⬇️ Trey Ravers like some of his talented crew members is from the vibrant community of Nannyville Gardens in Kingston Jamaica. The fleet-footed dancer describes being a part of the Ravers crew as, "one a the best thing to ever happen to me... RC4L forever". The dancer revealed to 24 that the initial moves for the dance were coined pre-pandemic and that now was the perfect time to release it, when asked what inspired his trending dance move, 'Stir Fry', he said, "Call it seh a more like a vibe still yuh zimi, just we inna our likkle element just a vibe and ting like we been have the foot part and everything like...long time, before Covid, yuh get weh mi a seh?   ST⭐R OF THE WEEK:  @shenseea  long-awaited debut album, 'ALPHA' is finally here! Her album debuted at  #9  on the UK Spotify Top Album Chart, it is currently,  #1  on the local Apple Music Top Album Chart, it reached  #18  on the US Apple Music Top Albums Chart (All Genres), and  #37  Worldwide Apple Music Album Chart. It was  #1  in eleven countries; Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, The British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, St. Vincent and The Grenadines and seven of the album tracks have made the local Apple Music Reggae top 10, and a total of 10 have made the top 20 this week.

  Whether it's summer or spring,  @shenseea  keeps growing! On the audio streaming and media services platform,  @spotify  Shenseea had 1,623,744 monthly listeners towards the end of August 2021 and now she has 3,249,288 monthly listeners!   ST⭐R OF THE WEEK: Shabdon, Shabdon, Shabdon! We don't have to see  @shabdonrecords  face to know that his riddims a run di place! This week his  #ActiveRiddim  which features trending singles, 'Ride It' by  @shaneilmuir  featuring  @vybzkartel , and 'Off Guard' by  @silkboss_musiq  have been racking up the views on Youtube, having 1,020,448 and 378,078 views respectively since their release on the 4th of March. Other notable releases on the riddim are 'Boasy' by  @shaka.muzic  'Active' by  @xsomo876  'Bad Fi Days' by  @jafrassmusic  and the latest entry to our 24Dancehall playlist, 'Ready' by  @squash6iixboss This riddim is the host to singles that our editors think you're going to be hearing a lot more as time goes on: tomorrow, today. If you like any of the singles mentioned, feel free to add them to your library as they are available on all major streaming platforms and digital outlets.

  This week in Dancehall we have seen both  @badevryday  and  @laalee_ranks  sign major record deals! Skillibeng has officially inked a deal with RCA Records and Eastsyde Records. RCA is owned by Sony Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America and Laalee has inked a new deal with Black Butter Records, a Sony Music affiliate based in the U.K.

  @shenseea  becomes the first local female artiste to land on four Billboard charts simultaneously! R U That (featuring 21 Savage), the second single from her album, debuted at number thirty-seven on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, number twenty-five on Rap Airplay, number thirty-four on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and number thirty-six on Rhythmic Airplay Top 40. Several female Jamaican artists have launched on various Billboard charts throughout the years, but none has ever debuted on all four in the same week. Aside from Shenseea, only six other female musicians from Jamaica have made an impact on the competitive Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Patra, a dancehall veteran from the 1990s, has four appearances on the list. Family Affair peaked at number 26 in 1993, Worker Man peaked at number 21 in 1994, Pull Up to the Bumper peaked at number 34 in 1995, and Scent of Attraction topped the charts at number 39 in 1996. The Antisocial hitmaker,  @intence____  has seemingly taken his foot off the accelerator for a few months but his speed is just too fast for others to catch! After dropping his hit single 'Clutcha' towards the end of 2021 and then starting 2022 strongly with 'NEW GEAR', his latest single, 'Puissant' produced by  @nuhbrakes_records  has gained much traction in the Dancehall space and is now  #1  on trending for music in Jamaica on Youtube. The video directed by  @kdvisuals876  has now accumulated over 800K views since its release on the 24th of February.
