This week we look at the matter of  the growing fanfare by both dancehall artistes and their fans at large over having the #1 trending video on YouTube. Based on YouTube's algorithm it should be clarified that depending on the viewers IP address the video-sharing website will tailor content for the viewers from local content creators. This signifies that YouTube will show the trending list based on the country in which you are viewing it unless there's an intermediate  by way of a VPN. The question lies in whether or not it is of much significance to be #1 trending only in Jamaica especially for artistes of a certain international calibre.
