Keeping an eye open on the people that put the Dance in Dancehall! Check out our first edition of DANCEPORT with the creator of the viral dance move, 'Stir Fry': @treyravers β¬οΈ
Trey Ravers like some of his talented crew members is from the vibrant community of Nannyville Gardens in Kingston Jamaica. The fleet-footed dancer describes being a part of the Ravers crew as, "one a the best thing to ever happen to me... RC4L forever". The dancer revealed to 24 that the initial moves for the dance were coined pre-pandemic and that now was the perfect time to release it, when asked what inspired his trending dance move, 'Stir Fry', he said, "Call it seh a more like a vibe still yuh zimi, just we inna our likkle element just a vibe and ting like we been have the foot part and everything like...long time, before Covid, yuh get weh mi a seh? So wi just inna wi likkle element a one party a Bronx and right deh suh it just happen but wi been a save it, never ready fi it yet but basically that still a nuh like a nuh pen and paper or none dem supβm deh a just more like the vibe and we inna our element". According to him, it was just a matter of waiting on the perfect time seeing that the Ravers already had dance moves out that were taking the local dance scene by storm at that particular moment in time. He also shared that his favorite song to do the dance to currently is "Stir Fry" by @dingdongravers but suggest that any song played at a party right now can be accompanied with the dance move. As it relates to plans for the rest of the year and him releasing more dance moves, "affi just see weh the future brings but we still a put in work so stay tuned same way". Finally, as a bonus, we asked him if there is any dancer (inside the Ravers crew or otherwise) that he enjoys dancing with the most and his response was, " All of them, everybody β¦ like you nuh see the vibes when we actually a wuck?"
